Gillian Short
MANAGING DIRECTOR
A diverse leader with 20 years at Marks & Spencer, excelling in operations, leadership and support roles, Gillian transferred her skills to health & social care in early 2023. Focused on quality, governance, and achieving great outcomes for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, she brings a customer focused work ethic and desire to deliver service excellence to the sector. An adept team leader committed to making a positive impact on people's lives. In 2023 Gillian became South Yorkshire Ambassador for the Yorkshire Care Alliance.
Gemma Parkin
REGISTERED MANAGER
Gemma is passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and complex needs. With an NVQ Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, and over 20 years of experience working in South Yorkshire, Gemma has led teams at complex care providers like Lifeways and Bespoke Care, to deliver positive outcomes through high-quality care and support. She’s all about making a real difference in the lives of families and individuals she works with, showing that good care is at the heart of everything she does.
Mike Short
HEAD OF PBS
With over 30 years experience in Health, Social Care and Education, Mike is one of the very best qualified practitioners in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and co-produces PBS plans based on functional assessment and analysis. As Business Unit Director of the PBS Centre of Excellence at Yorkshire Care Group, Mike works with individuals, families and organisations to develop Positive Behaviour Support services and systems across the region.
